Q1 What is the role of testosterone in the pathogenesis of erectile dysfunction (ED)?

Ans: Testosterone is male hormone and the main responsible factor for your healthy sex life. If it's low it can lead to erectile dysfunction. Along with hormonal causes, we also need to rule out vascular and neurogenic causes of erectile dysfunction. 

Q2 What is the treatment for medication-related erectile dysfunction?

Ans: Treatment depends on the cause of erectile dysfunction. Rarely, ED could be because of some spinal injuries which take a long time to recover.

Ans: Smoking and alcohol definitely affects the sexual cycle. As it impacts the cycle and all the more affects your overall health. Age also plays a role and diabetes plays a major role in erectile dysfunction especially in men of more than 40 years of age.

People going to gym usually take supplements which are having hormones and taking that without medical supervision can lead to erectile dysfunction as these external products disturbs the central hormonal balance cycle.  

Q5 What is the basis for treatment selection in erectile dysfunction (ED)?

Ans: Treatment depends on the cause of ED. Psychogenic needs relaxants, vascular and neurogenic causes need medicines which improves vascular blood flow and sensation. Hormonal causes sometimes need supplementation of hormones as well. 

Other than these, we can also use therapies like MBST (Multi-behavior sex therapy), Shock wave therapy (SWT) and P-shot as well.
